Features
Fuses possess some
unique features not offered by other protective devices. They
interrupt short-circuit currents within a few milliseconds, faster
than any other protective element and thus minimize the effects of
the short circuit on all affected parts of the plant. The performance
data of installed fuses cannot be changed, either deliberately or
inadvertently, and mismatching or malfunctions are thus impossible.

Our product range
encompasses all DIN systems, which are standardized worldwide, in
accordance with the VDE 0636 and 0670 regulations and with the standards
IEC/EN 60269 and 60282-1. A wide range of accessories, such as
fuse-holders, fuse- carriers and fuse-bases rounds off the spectrum
of products in this sector.

Application
sectors
With more than 100
years of experience, we can offer current-limiting solutions with low
power dissipation which far exceed the general requirements. Low
power dissipation, high current limitation and resistance to ageing
are the most important quality features of our fuses. Our fuses can
handle operating voltages up to AC 36 kV and DC 5 kV.

utilization categories are matched to the objects to be protected:
cables and wires, electric railways, electric motors, mining
equipment, switchgear and transformers.
Semiconductor
components and inverters are a major application sector for
„super-fast" fuses. For such objects, we offer characteristics
and shapes matched to each specific application.
